I would use iTunes for your computers music library. You can download songs from www.limewire.com that are free but if what you really want is to transfer music itunes is very simple and free for the program itself. Your computer will recognize the player and then you just drag and drop the songs into the player. when you want to add a cd to your collection you just import it in via itunes and you can add that music as well. one option is that u reset it to factory settings..i mean there cud b 1001 reasons y your pod is functioning in that manner..have u tried pressing the centre and the play button simultaneously for around 6 seconds..that shud bring back to factory presets..if it still don%26#39;t work then go ahead and format it...al the best! First of all, DO NOT try to take your iPod apart. If you do this, your warranty will no longer be valid. You also risk causing even more damage, as iPod internal drives are very fragile.

1.) Don%26#39;t turn your iPod on, plug it into a charger, or connect it to your computer. As long as it is wet, this will just "fry" its circuits.

2.) Shake your iPod gently and try blowing into the bottom ports to get as much of the water out as possible.

3.) Set your iPod upright in a safe place and let it dry. This can take anywhere from 1-3 days. You can use a blow-dryer on a LOW setting to speed up the process.

4.) Once your iPod is dry, it should work. If it is recognized by your computer but you can%26#39;t access your music, try using the iPod Update utility on iTunes to restore the software. You may need to re-upload your music.

good luck :O) Try to dry it. If you take it apart, you void the warranty. I%26#39;d let it dry out and see if it works. If it doesn%26#39;t, then see if you can get it replaced. Chances are putting your iPod through the wash isn%26#39;t covered by the Apple Warranty though. :( Water and electronics don%26#39;t go well together. Let it completely dry before turning it on. If there is any moisture in it when you turn it on it%26#39;s a goner for sure. It%26#39;s most likely going to be ruined but you can hope for the best.

Are you syncing it automatically? With more than one iTunes library? iPods are designed to be associated with a particular iTunes library, and if you connect it to a different computer (or a different library on the same computer), you%26#39;ll see a little dialog box asking if you want to erase the contents and associate it with this library.

An iTunes library is designed to be able to accomodate multiple iPods. The default setting is that all music will be automatically "synced" from the library to any connected iPods. It%26#39;s not considered stealing.

Is your music in their library? If the music is all in there together, and you want to keep it that way but not have all the music on your iPod, connect your Shuffle and change the sync settings either to manage music manually, or to sync to a particular playlist, and keep your music in that playlist.

If you want separation between your music and that of your sibling, set up your own iTunes library.

Hold down the shift key (Windows) or option key (Mac) while opening iTunes to "Create Library" (create one for you) and/or "Choose Library" (switch back and forth between theirs %26 yours). You can not switch libraries while running, but you can select an alternate library when you launch.

This process creates a second iTunes folder in the music folder. Content added to either library are added ony to that library. You can import music from the other folder if there is stuff in the one person%26#39;s library that the other one wants to have. There%26#39;s nothing wrong with that. you probably synced your ipod to their library. you have to choose not to sync everytime you plug your ipod in. If you do not do so everytime you plug it in it will add whatever is in the music labrary. You can shut it off by going into your ipod with it plugged into your computer and un check the box. no what happend is u got songs from itunes that they had and put them on yours

¤ If you already have a library of songs, just restore then re-update the iPod.

¤ If it isn%26#39;t like that, and you don%26#39;t have very many songs, just burn a bunch of CDs and follow through with what iTunes is telling you.

¤ If neither of those situations are what is happening, try going on to the Apple website and call the number for the Tech Support. You can only use iTunes for an iPod. Nothing else. ok..do this

I hope you%26#39;re familiar with torrents. What you do is you download this program called Anapod Explorer using a torrent site. What it basically does is it adds your iPod to Windows Explorer, so you can read from it and to it without the use of an external program. Using this program, you can just copy all the songs from your iPod to your hard drive.

Do I need to order special headphones to listen to my phone as an IPOD..I have the little adapter that came with the fon. You put it in the USB slot...but regular headphones wont insert into the adapter....So now I gotta add that cost and I dont have a USB either..I have a bad feeling this stuff is expensive.
