I have a sansa c240 but i dont know what the micro slot is actually for?

How does it work

Answer:

The Micro SD slot is "external memory", Used to add additional memory to your player.

It%26#39;s like a memory card for your camera, but smaller.

For instance, you used up 1gb of memory and you need more space. Go to sandisk or any electronic store and ask if they have any Micro SD cards for sale. They come in 1gb or 2gbs(?) for additional memory. Once you add one of those into your player, you player will become 2 or 3gbs instead of 1gb. Just a scenario.
