In order to get music videos on your iriver U10, you need to have them converted to the proper format that iriver U10 would support. To do that you can download "Iriverter", it%26#39;s a free software, which was made by iriver, which allows you to convert videos. You can download the software from here:

It%26#39;s relatively easy to use, just make sure that before converting your videos on iriverter, you go to the options-device-iriver and than clix/u10, because otherwise you might get wrong format.
Iriverter is safe, no viruses there, i currently use it, they even talk about it on iriver america website.
When you converted your videos you can either manually add them to your iriver videos folder on your computer or sync them through windows media player 10 or 11. Version before 10 won%26#39;t work.
I%26#39;m not sure about why the names of the songs stay on the screen after deletion, i usually delete songs by going onto my hard drive than my iriver folder than music, and it works fine for me.

iTunes will only put music on an iPod, sorry, but you will have to change. iTunes was desgined especially for the iPod, so either change your MP3 Player, or the MP3 program.
Change to either the software that comes with the player, or some universal one. unless you have an ipod then most of the songs off of itunes will not work for your mpe player your have to buy the itunes plus songs that cost 1.29 each intead of .99 each then the expensive somgs will play on any mp3 playr cuz they are drm-free Depends on the kind of mp3 (the brand). Its possible that you can use Windows Media Player and after you plug in your player, and your Media Player is showing all songs, just click sync. When you plug it into your computer, your pc sees the Mp3 player like another disk drive. You don%26#39;t say what brand or model it is. A lot of the cheaper ones have problems. Trash it and buy a new one based on online reviews. See if you can get a firmware update. Get an Ipod or a Zune. Whatever suits you the most. is it still under warranty? if it is, return it to the store where you brought it and get a new one. If the warrant is expired, give the manufacturer a call and see if they can assist with the problem (i.e. telling you why it happens, how to get it fixed, how much, etc.)

I think it depends on how many songs you have in your MP3, but in other hand 256 mbs, it probably hold 50 or not much more than 65 songs on it. i think you need to erase some songs to put some contact numbers in it.

I%26#39;m not familiar with the mp3 player . . . did it come with an installation CD? If you%26#39;ve already tried restarting the computer, my only idea would be to try and manually install the mp3 player. Go to Start-Control Panel-Add Hardware and see if it will let you do it that way.
If you have multiple usb jacks, you may want to try another one . . . if you have multiple ones, they%26#39;re each considered a removable drive by the computer (e.g. one usb jack might be "Removable Drive E" while the other is "Removable Drive F." (You can see all of your removable drives/hardware by going to My Computer.)

I have the largest of the e200 series, and I tried to acess the music from on Rhapsody, because another family member already had it on our computer, but still only recordings show up. There are songs I want to get rid of, but it wont let me get to them. Everything else shows up, but for the songs it just says that there are no songs on it. I don%26#39;t use rhapsody so I can%26#39;t tell you how to remove songs from there. However, I can help you remove songs a different way, it%26#39;ll be easier too. (:
Connect your player. Go to My Computer. Open up your Sansa, Should be named Sansa e280R (if you have the largest one). Open it up. Open the folder that says "MUSIC". If you don%26#39;t see it, it%26#39;ll be hidden. To unhide this folder go to Tools (Located on the very top of your browser) %26gt; Folder Options %26gt; hit the "View" tab %26gt; Mark "Show hidden files and folders". Now you can see the MUSIC folder, it%26#39;ll most likely be a faded color. Open it up. Dig through the folders that you would like to remove songs from (Select the Artist %26gt; Album %26gt; Song, then right click delete).

1. Open My Computer and check if the Sansa E250 is recognized

3. after you click on TOOLS choose folder option
4.Click on the view Tab, put a dot or choose show hidden files and folder.
5. click on apply then ok
and you should be apply to see your Music folder.

you have to authorize ur computer. download itunes and open it. on the file menu, click store, and then click authorize computer. and then all of ur music will be transferred back to the vista computer. and then it should work the reason why your ipod restored itself was because if you switch between mac and pc it has to reformat the software. i suggest to just stick with one system; mac or pc

Can I convert these files so my stereo recognises the CD. At the moment it does not play anything even though the tracks are on the CD. I appreciate my stereo is a few years old.

As of right now, no it isn%26#39;t true, it is speculative. This is where people believe that apple is going to go. And they probably will, but they will have to release other sized ipods first as they build the technology to allow a terrabyte to fit on a very small hard disc. Right now, There is only a few terrabyte drives that have been unvield, and they costs $1200 to $10,000, way to much for the average consumer.
They will come out, but not for a few years I am sure.
For people making comments about not needing that much music, you forget, the ipod is now a video player as well. I am not sure, but that seems like an awful lot. almost too much. They could come out eventually, but right now 1000GB hard disks are both very expensive and very unreliable. At the moment the highest capacity/most reliable drive is 250GB. it has to do with the density of the platters. Besides they havent made a %26#39;small%26#39; 1TB drive yet. why would you need a terabyte of music though? Im pretty sure the world would implode if someone stored a terabyte of music in one little pod. Its a bad idea. You download the .exe file and double click that to install it. You plug in your iPod to the computer with the provided USB cable. download iTunes from Apple and go throught the setup. Then connect the ipod to the computer with the usb cable (usb end into pc and the other into ipod)

Rar files always end in ".rar" and exe files, or executables, always end in ".exe." i usually ask ppl an ceqna.com.your welcome. It will say the extension under "file type" column.

i hope i helped When you click on and open your library there is a button you can click on to share your music. That will walk you through it. Put the songs on a CD. Use a program call Sharepod. It lets u copy files from your ipod to ur cpu and also back to ur ipod. Well if they%26#39;re on your old one don%26#39;t you have them in iTunes? Just use iTunes and plug in your new one. I don%26#39;t think you can do that..but I%26#39;m not 100% sure. just plug it in with that itunes up use limewire to get the one you don%26#39;t have on your computer than plug it in but u need to get the new itunes from apple.com/downloads you should already have itunes, so just transfer them to your new iPod like you did with the old one. use copy pod. it is really easy. Just select all the songs and put them in a folder on your pc. Then drag that folder onto your new ipod in itunes. Do this if your music is not already on your pc but is on your ipod. If it is already on your pc just drag the music onto your new ipod.

Most of the time, you can right-click the song file, and click copy to the device... If you%26#39;re using an SD card, this will also work, but some players, such as the iPod, use a specific program to get songs onto it. download limewire. find the song u want. then stick ur mp3 in to the computer%26#39;s usb cord. done. if you are saying that you don%26#39;t know how to connect it to the computer all you need is a usb cord and usually a small one will come standard with your player then hook the small end into the mp3 player and the bigger end into the usb port which usually will have a picture that looks like three cords are coming out of one sort of and then it will usually detect it in the port.

burn all yr songs on yr old comp to a blank cd, if u hav a lot of music u mite need more cds, then you jus download them to yr new comp i usually use realplayer, you copy all the songs to realplayer library and i should ask if you want it to be added to "my music" if you say yes there will be a folder that says ipod control and all the songs will have a four letter name that seems random but when you put it on iTunes it shuld have the name it had on your iPod I just had to do the same thing a week ago. I read on ceqna.com someone suggested copytrans (a.k.a. copypod). I downloaded the free version from www.copytrans.net, but could never get it to work correctly. I ended up buying the software online from that website and it was $19.90. After I purchased it, I had no problems at all! Worked perfect! Hopefully you can get it to work without buying it! do u still have ur old computer? if so, u should transfer all ur music files into ur ipod (using it as a removable device) (u could also use any other kind of removable device such as a flash drive) and then copy and paste into ur new computer.
(to find the music files, go to ur old computer, right click on a music file/any song ..click Get Info..under the tab Summary..look under Where and there u%26#39;ll see where ur music files are)
It might take several trips, depending on how many files u have and how many gb ur ipod holds. (i copied and pasted by artists because i only had 4 gb..anyways, just highlight all the files and drag and drop into the itunes FOLDER in ur computer ..and from there, drag and drop into iTunes. i had this exact problem. My harddrive was destroyed and when i replaced it i had lost all of my itunes library. Sadly, itunes is picky and they dont want you transfering songs from your friends ipod to your itunes, so they wont know the difference when its a new computer. You need to download i program that allows you to take all of the music off of your ipod, and put it into a folder that you can later import to your itunes library. This is the program that i used to transfer all of my songs, it%26#39;s easy to use, free, and it doesnt give you viruses.

Without spending money on a 3rd party application, you can follow the steps I%26#39;ve outlined below to retrieve your music from your iPod.
___Step 1 - Enable View Hidden Files and Folders___
1) Open My Computer
2) Click the Tools menu option
3) Select "Folder Options"
4) Click the View tab
5) In the "Advanced Settings" section, select the option for "Show hiden files and folders"
6) Click OK
___Step 2 - Retrieve Your Music___
1) Connect your iPod (Note: If iTunes opens and asks if you want to sync the iPod, click Cancel, then close iTunes immediately.)
2) Open My Computer
3) Open the drive associated with your iPod
4) Open the iPod_Control folder
5) Copy all of these folders to your hard-drive
6) Open iTunes
7) Add the copied files to your iTunes library
Note: When iTunes copies the music to your iPod, it doesn%26#39;t keep the file names you had on your computer. There are free applications (MP3 Tag Tools) that will allow you to rename all of the files based on the MP3 tag. the Sansa has two modes wherein it may connect to the computer, the MSC (Mass Storage Class) mode and the MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) mode. If you are transferring un-licensed, non-protected songs, you may transfer them using the MSC mode by simply copying them on to the Sansa. This mode also allows you to use the player with Audible files. If you are transferring music that you have purchased or music that are licensed and/or proctected, you would need to use the MTP mode. To transfer these files, you would need to use Windows Media Player 10 or some other Music Softwares such as Rhapsody and Napster.
If you add songs to the player in one mode, then switch to the other mode, you will not be able to see the songs from the previous mode, though the space used on the player will still reflect their presence. If you cannot see your songs on your PC in one mode, please try viewing them in the other. In order to change the USB mode of the player, you must power the player on and go to "Settings." Under "Settings," there should be a "USB" option. It would then give you the choice to change it from "Auto Detect" (MTP which is also known as Playforsure in other Sansa) to "MSC (Also known as Rhapsody in other Sansa)."

First of all create an iTunes account. Go to the itunes store and search for songs you enjoy listening to, buy and download them.
If you already have songs available on your computer that you would like to add on your iPod, have iTunes do a search, (well it%26#39;ll ask you if you want it to when you download and install it).
Or you can RIP them from a CD, insert it in your computer and iTunes should detect it. Rip it from iTunes. Download the song, click "clear inactive" on the bottom, go back up to the top, hit library, right click and drag till all your songs become blue (have itunes open already), and drag the songs to itunes. go to the library of limewire and open up the explore on the bottom... go to mediaplayer or itunes.. whatever you use to download onto ipod and drag and drop that songs that you want into the library of that current spot you just opened up... There%26#39;s a reset button on the unit (location will be in the user%26#39;s manual). I would charge it for a little while longer and then use a paperclip to reset the device. This will probably allow the device to turn on.
Good luck! Since its new, you should probably charge it for several more hours, or overnight. Maybe you have the hold button on (if there is one)? When you first get you mp3 it has to charge for 4 to 6 hours before you can use it. On the front of the player the battery icon will tell you when its done.

Ive got an ipod nano, and the caliber has an iPod jack and im not sure what type of cable to use. can i use an iTrip with it or do i need to buy some other kind of wire from apple or even dodge?
Does the factory CD Player have a input jack on the front? If so all you need is a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm stereo cable, should be able to get one at Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal Mart etc, for around $5 to $10 I just came across a site that sends you an iPod for free! when you plug it in youll get options of what to do, choose open folder and view files, then copy and paste the songs to your computers music folder using:
ctrl + a (to select all)
ctrl plus clicking each individual song
after click the first song, hold down SHIFT and click the last song. if that doesnt work, add some more details to the question and ill try to help you out again. You would have to buy a third-party program to rip the music off your iPod and onto your computer. I great program that I use is Music Rescue, which costs about $20. you can get software at Best Buy that will allow for the music on your iPod to be transferred to your new computer so that you can repopulate the new iTunes. Its not expensive $25 well u still might have ur old computer. so put the itunes program on a disk Best way is to use iPodRip found here

I like the Sandisk, but have wanted an Ipod for a while. Is the Ipod worth the extra $20? The Sansa has more features, but it doesn%26#39;t really matter to me. Me? My player uses a nice %26 easy program where all I do is drag %26 drop what I want to transfer to my player. If I want to share anything with a friend, all I have to do is plug it into a USB port. Windows 2000 and newer recognizes it as a storage drive, so I can simply drag them from the player onto their computer.
Bottom line - with an iPod, you have to play by Apple%26#39;s rules. It depends on the computer you have. If you have a PC, I would probably stay with the Sansa. I%26#39;ve run into lots of problems w/my iPod on my PC with iTunes. It%26#39;s a pain, but i get through it. If you have a Mac, I would suggest switching to an iPod. If the Sansa runs on batteries, it%26#39;s easier to replace. ipod requires you to send it to them or to get a kit to replace the battery. I have a 2gb c250 and I love it

It%26#39;s a music store through WMP. You can download songs free for 2 weeks without your credit card. The only downfall to that is after the two weeks you can%26#39;t play the songs unless you upgrade and purchase the monthly subscriptions. If for some reason you decide to burn them to a CD you have to pay again for the burn rights. If you don%26#39;t want it on your computer you can go into add/remove programs and you can uninstall Urge without affecting WMP. It is a music store. They must have paid Microsoft something to get it there. By default it installs it%26#39;s own program. You have to override it or uninstall it if you don%26#39;t want to use it.

it mite not be the fact that you left it in the sun, it may be that u left it out there too long and ir ran out of battery try charging it Take it to a local Apple Store. i just did the same thing hold the middle botton and the menu botton for a little while and it should restart otherwise go to apple and tell them that it broke they should give you a new one if its under warrnty. or tell them to fix it!! the ipod has a magnetic hard-drive, much like ur computer%26#39;s hard-drive. it has probably over-heated. the same thing happened to me too. i put the ipod in my freezer for 18 hours, and this cooled down the hard-drive, and i was able to turn it back on.
if its not a hard-drive problem, the battery may have died out. in that case u have to take it to a apple store where they can get u a new battery for the ipod. but first try putting it in a freezer, coz that wont make things worse, and may even save u a few bucks. put it on a flat surface
and hold down
menu nd middle buton (in middle of click wheel) at the same time untill the apple logo comes up nd leave it to restart.

well you have to make sure it is totally plugged in sometimes it%26#39;s not allthe way in...computer charger that is. happens to me too. then you restart your comp and ipod and try again. don%26#39;t listen to music anymore. if you didnt%26#39; know that "working class hero" is a john lennon song, you have no business listening to music.

To put music on your iPod,
1. Download iTunes
2. Click on "iTunes Store" in the left menu
3. Set up an account in iTunes by clicking "Account" at the right.
4. After account is set up, click on "Redeem" in the Quicklinks menu at the right to redeem your Music Gift Card.
5. Search for music and dowload
6. once music is downloaded, you can click and drag onto your ipod, or you can set up iTunes to automatically sync your ipod. Syncing your ipod means itunes will automatically transfer new songs onto your ipod. However, syncing means that you cannot plug your ipod into another computer. If you do, it will erase all current music and save music from that computer onto your ipod.
Oh, and you don%26#39;t have to have a credit card on file to have an account. I simply buy gift cards all the time and redeem them on itunes. To redeem your gift card, open iTunes, and click iTunes Store on the left. In the store window, click Redeem (upper right). You%26#39;ll be asked for the card number. The amount from the gift card shows up as a credit (you can see the amount in the upper right part of the iTunes window), and when that credit runs out, then any purchase you make will be charged to your credit card. depends what kind of i-pod you have find the column on the right side of the home page of itunes. Then find redeem. Scratch out the code on the back of the itunes card to find the code. type the code in and you just got money in your account! Then you can search for songs. when you find a song, just click on the "buy song" link.

All you need to do is to set the iPod to update manually. This will let you update the iPod from more than one computer without deleting the songs already on the iPod.
In order to do so, connect the iPod to one of your accounts and then open iTunes. On the summary of your iPod that appears on iTunes, under options, uncheck the box that says %26#39;Sync only check items%26#39; and check the one that says %26#39;Manually manage music%26#39;. That%26#39;ll do it.
I have to warn you that when you change the settings from automatic to manual, iTunes deletes everything from the iPod, but if you have the original library that won%26#39;t be a problem.
Now you can connect it to any computer you want and load songs into the iPod without any problems. This also lets you erase the songs from the computer and keep them in the iPod, which is good when you have little space.

Well, let%26#39;s see...I%26#39;ve heard of those songs, so that means they are some of the %26#39;top%26#39; popular songs of today. However, I don%26#39;t listen to that type music and yet still have heard of them, which means I%26#39;ve seen/read the names at some point (cell phone ringtone sites, etc.)
Their problem with the music is likely the same problem I have with that kind of music. Plain out, most of those have sick, immoral, inconsiderate, hateful lyrics. Usually always full of cursing and everything else. The music that I used to listen to was voted the "worst" artist group; their lyrics are nothing but negative, foul, hateful, and rebellious. It didn%26#39;t seem like it to me at first, either. But.guaranteed...those songs *WILL* have an effect on you whether it feels like it or not. They basically slowly put the mentality within those song compositions, into your thought process. You eventually sort of "become" like whatever those songs say...for the better or for the worse. That%26#39;s the reason why so many people who are into the famous %26#39;rap%26#39; stuff nowadays end up jail, have a lot of problems, love to call themselves %26#39;players%26#39; and think it%26#39;s cute, etc. That music promotes all of that...and wherever they go, they%26#39;re constantly mumbling it to themselves...which gets on my nerves because it%26#39;s usually a bunch of nonsense. Your parents likely have a problem with the lyrical contect in general...and I frankly wouldn%26#39;t blame them. I got into it and saw the effects of %26#39;harmless%26#39; music in my life...and I learned it has more of an effect on me than I thought.
On the top of your Ipod there is a switch that locks the buttons on your Ipod. Switch it and then try. If that doesnt work plug it into your computer and the Ipod will automaticly turn on update and un-lock by itself. If you still have problems contact apple or see of there is any waranty still on it and switch it for a new one. Hope this helps.
ps. DO NOT THROW IT AGAINST SOMETHING like the others said!! you will make its condition worse and may not be able to have apple fix it or return it if they found out you actually did that to it!! Maybe the battery went dead? Turn the lock off? THROW IT?! hold down the menu and play buttons for a few seconds its probably either frozen in which case see if u can run the battery down and start again. OR it may be that the battery is, in fact, dead and u need to charge it.?

UNLOCK IT! If the "Lock" button is not enabled and pressing menu %26 play doesn%26#39;t reset it (as it should) you may have to wait until the iPod battery drains completely (which could take a decent amount of time) and then recharge it. :( It%26#39;s hard to say - either way, Good luck...and I hope it doesn%26#39;t require a trip to the iPod hospital. :) Make sure that the hold switch is in the correct position, and then hold the menu button and the middle button down at the same time. If that doesn%26#39;t reboot it, plug it back in the computer. If it doesnt become active, go to iTunes and find "restore". Or try just charging it. There is more you can do in the root of the device, but that is an "if all else failed" move. this site will give you an ipod just for completing some quick online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you%26#39;re broke but really want an ipod (like me).

plug it into ur computer as if u were gonna charge it and itunes should pop up saying how much memory and stuff u hav. above that there i sa button that says RESTORE. press that and it should put it back to the original settings but u will lose all ur songs. Go into settings%26gt;reset all settings and thay should do it.

To specify a little more, a regular CD cannot play music videos from your iTunes..you can back up your videos onto a blank CD or DVD and store them as data, but the videos can%26#39;t be played on a DVD player once you buy them. Ipod videos from itunes can only be played by quicktime or on the ipod.
As long as the file size is small enough to fit on a cd (usually less then 700mb) then it can be played from the cd.
The only difference between cd%26#39;s and dvd%26#39;s is the amount of information they can store.

You will also need the lame converter to make mp3 files, All you need to do is download from lame.sourceforge.net and copy the files to the EAC directory. For configuring lame, please search for tutorials on the net. It%26#39;s quite technical but ready resources are available (you can copy and paste the configs).
In the beginning you may have to spend some time to configure it. But after that is done just enjoy. You will get the best results for your pains.

Dell is sending me a new one to replace my old one. I am an avid music listener and have over 1500 songs on my old one. THey are all on my ipod so my problem is...I dont want to spend the money to buy tons of cd%26#39;s to back up all my music. My iPOD was fully charged and then suddenly it switched off. Now it is saying Very Low Battery and I am trying to charge for the past 2 days. I went to Apple.com and they said it should charge within 30 mins. Also, some of my friends said to reset the settings. How am I supposed to reset the settings when it is not working at all?

RESET is not the same as RESTORE. To reset, slide the Hold button to the On position and back to the Off position. Hold down the centre button along with the top (Menu) part of the wheel until the screen goes black.
This clears some freezes, but it won%26#39;t get a dead battery to work.
To Restore, you need to go to the main page of your iPod in iTunes. This will put the iPod back to its factory settings and erase everything on it, which means you should back up everything first.
It sounds like a dying battery though. If the iPod is still under warranty you can get it replaced. If not, you can pay for a replacement (very expensive) or get a battery replacement kit (much cheaper, and longer lasting battery). Or you can find a (non-Apple) service that will put in a new one for you.
Google iPod battery replacement and you%26#39;ll find online stores and maybe a service near you. send it in to apple. Plug it in the computer and go to your Ipod Options on I tunes and reset your Ipod. It will erase everything but it will restore all the factory settings.
If that dosn%26#39;t work your battery is shot. And you need to get a new one installed.

My brother has the Zen Vision M MP3 player from Creative (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/produ... It has FM tuning, color screen - you can also add movies/videos. The instruction manual will provide you with specifics about adding music from your computer (it%26#39;s a little difficult to provide directions now if you don%26#39;t have an mp3 player yet).

You can also get a wireless converter for your mp3 player so that if you don%26#39;t have a tape deck or can%26#39;t disconnect the speakers from your current entertainment system, you can tune your entertainment system%26#39;s FM dial to a fuzzy station and it will broadcast the music that is playing on your mp3 player. I know Zunes have an FM transmittor on it. They come in 30 gig.
