I unpluged my ipod while it was updating and now it is broken and i cant figure out how to fix it?

sometimes a message pops up and it says to click allow and it will scan and fix the ipod when i click allow it says it cant perform the scan without the disk. what disk does it need ?

If you bought the ipod new, some of them came with a setup disk with itunes and stuff on it. That may be the one it wants. Are you on a PC or a Mac?
