I just got a new computer and I want to transfer all my songs on my ipod to the iTunes. Can anybody

burn all yr songs on yr old comp to a blank cd, if u hav a lot of music u mite need more cds, then you jus download them to yr new comp i usually use realplayer, you copy all the songs to realplayer library and i should ask if you want it to be added to "my music" if you say yes there will be a folder that says ipod control and all the songs will have a four letter name that seems random but when you put it on iTunes it shuld have the name it had on your iPod I just had to do the same thing a week ago. I read on ceqna.com someone suggested copytrans (a.k.a. copypod). I downloaded the free version from www.copytrans.net, but could never get it to work correctly. I ended up buying the software online from that website and it was $19.90. After I purchased it, I had no problems at all! Worked perfect! Hopefully you can get it to work without buying it! do u still have ur old computer? if so, u should transfer all ur music files into ur ipod (using it as a removable device) (u could also use any other kind of removable device such as a flash drive) and then copy and paste into ur new computer.

(to find the music files, go to ur old computer, right click on a music file/any song ..click Get Info..under the tab Summary..look under Where and there u%26#39;ll see where ur music files are)

It might take several trips, depending on how many files u have and how many gb ur ipod holds. (i copied and pasted by artists because i only had 4 gb..anyways, just highlight all the files and drag and drop into the itunes FOLDER in ur computer ..and from there, drag and drop into iTunes. i had this exact problem. My harddrive was destroyed and when i replaced it i had lost all of my itunes library. Sadly, itunes is picky and they dont want you transfering songs from your friends ipod to your itunes, so they wont know the difference when its a new computer. You need to download i program that allows you to take all of the music off of your ipod, and put it into a folder that you can later import to your itunes library. This is the program that i used to transfer all of my songs, it%26#39;s easy to use, free, and it doesnt give you viruses.
