okay, My iPod fell into water...I let it dry for two days and it didn%26#39;t turn on. Now that I plug it in to the computer it didnt show that it was charging. I can hear my music from the computer, though. What do I do?
Answer:
hope you have insurance. the same thing happend to me and it did the same thing but then after a while it jsut stoped working. you best bet is to get that apple ipod insurance and then file your claim. sorry it sucks i know..take care.. that hasn%26#39;t happened to me but i do know someone who left his in the rain and it no longer works. listening to your music on itunes has nothing to do with your ipod really. most likely there%26#39;s nothing you can do unless you want to continue to let it dry (i would probably do this just in case)...sorry :( Not much luck if it completely fell in water. However try this, ship it to Apple if you really think its not only the water... Include some detail why it isn%26#39;t working or defective. Hopefully the will send you a brand new one or you will make-do with the same one.
Good Luck (BEST ANSWER) Most likely, your motherboard was fried. Apple voids your warranty if there was water damage to your iPod. They know if it is water damaged by checking a little marker, I forgot where it was on the iPod, and it will be discolored if it was exposed to water. Motherboards for a 5th Generation iPod Video go for about $100. Hope this helps. Most likely, your motherboard was fried. Apple voids your warranty if there was water damage to your iPod.
