Im trying to find an electric guitar under $700. Need help.?

Answer:

This question really can%26#39;t be answered without knowing what kind of sound you%26#39;re looking for. or maximum versatility?

PRS (Paul Reed Smith) makes some awesome dual humbucker Gibson style guitars for a little less than what you%26#39;re looking to spend. Great for powerful rock sounds, nice clean too... but won%26#39;t sound like a Strat...

I really don%26#39;t care for the more affordable Fenders at all. That tremolo system just doesn%26#39;t stay in tune. I%26#39;d look for something else with 3 pickups (and preferably coil tapping if the end pickups are humbuckers) and a solid Floyd Rose style tremolo instead if that%26#39;s the sound you%26#39;re looking for. (brighter cleans that ring like a bell...)

Ibanez makes some nice, very versatile guitars... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/i... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/i... There are a couple Gibson models you could afford. The quality probably isn%26#39;t as good as what you%26#39;d get on a foreign made guitar for the same money though...

This ESP model is all mahogany with a mahogany set neck. Comes with nice Seymour Duncan or active EMG (better for metal) pickups. Would possibly smoke a PRS and wouldn%26#39;t require any upgrades to sound it%26#39;s best like a Gibson. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/e... Try a pawn shop or http://www.craigslist.com I would recommend a fender brand stratocaster for the quality of the guitar and has a great sound even without a gadget/stomp box.
