If your iPod is out of power, will an iStation with fresh batteries keep it powered whilst it plays?

I%26#39;m going to the Download festival and want a portable battery-powered source of music whilst sitting around with friends. I%26#39;ve seen that the iStation is great, but since I can%26#39;t charge my iPod at the festival, I wouldn%26#39;t want to bother for a few hours playtime. However, I would be willing to buy a load of batteries and power it that way. Is this possible?

I%26#39;ve had an ipod for a long time, and I still don%26#39;t know what an %26#39;%26#39;istation%26#39;%26#39; is. I came across this site that gives you a free iPod in exchange for you completing a few simple tasks for them. I%26#39;m gonna try it out right now! :)
