If my ipod(4th gen) only stays on for three seconds and then it shuts off, what is the problem?

Answer:

It%26#39;s extremely low on battery

If you try charging the battery and it STILL doesnt work, it means that your battery is too old and will no longer hold a charge.

in this case, you%26#39;re gonna need to get a new ipod OR get the battery replaced. You could have apple or 3rd party do it, but they%26#39;ll charge wayyyy too much

I recommend going on ebay or some site and buying a 4th gen battery. Usually, the battery will come with tools and directions on how to replace the battery. It%26#39;s not that hard, and the battery is pretty cheap ($20ish) if you get it on your own.

Ive done it loads of times, takes maybe 5 minutes. charge it Well first it can be that it isnt charged if it isnt just plug it in the computer and wait

but if it is charged and still turns off, then your ipod is broken, you can either try to reset it and hope it works

or

try returning it to where you bought it and say it doesn%26#39;t take charges and turns off, this will probably get you new one
