If I were to buy a new iPod, what accessories would I have to buy with it?

I am planning on buying a new iPod nano (2GB), and I was wondering what else I would need to buy with it. For example, does it include the headphones, battery, charger, USB adapter to get songs, or whatever else I need. Details on prices would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Answer:

Nano%26#39;s usually only include the USB cable for your computer to sync your songs from iTunes (and it also charges it when plugged in) and it comes with earbud headphones. The battery is built into the iPod.

If you want something that will charge your iPod other than the USB connection, I would buy a AC wall charger so you don%26#39;t have to leave your computer on to charge it.

A nice thing about nano%26#39;s is that they are a good size mp3 player to use when you workout, so there are lots of armband cases for those.

I usually get my iPod%26#39;s on Amazon. Their prices fluctuate $5 or so in either direction often, but they are always cheaper than on apple.com or in the stores. Also check cnet.com reviews and find your iPod nano you like, and they usually list a bunch of stores/websites and what they%26#39;re charging for their product on each of their respective websites.

But one thing I should warn you about is that you should go with trustworthy websites so that you don%26#39;t get hustled. If you don%26#39;t get it through Amazon, make sure you read up on customer reviews of the website to make sure it is a credible site. To be on the safe side, stick to stores and sites you%26#39;ve heard of before. You can also find all of iPod%26#39;s accessories and cases on Amazon (and usually with free shipping!). Hope this helps! It includes everything you listed except a charger. When you plug it into your computer with the USB it will charge it but you can also buy a separate wall charger. Not sure the cost but I think it%26#39;s kind of expensive. You would only need a wall charger. You also can charge on pc. I came across this site that gives you a free iPod in exchange for you completing a few simple tasks for them. I%26#39;m gonna try it out right now! :) The iPod already comes with headphones, the battery is built into the iPod, a USB cable to sync songs (transfer songs to iPod). The only thing you have to buy is a wall charger. It%26#39;s not really necessary because your iPod charges when it%26#39;s connected to your computer, but I highly recommend it, unless you want to turn on your computer every time your iPod needs charging. A charger usually costs no more than $30. If you want to get a case for your iPod always make sure how good that protection is gonna be. Besides this, there%26#39;s nothing else to say besides "Happy iPod shopping, and thanks for the pooints!"
