I was wondering if anybody knew any way to speed uo the rotation of a record on a turntable?

Any way at all, preferably just by 1-5 rotations, because I found out that what%26#39;s wrong with my turn table is the speed of rotations, instead of doing 33 rotations per minute it only does 30, thus making the music distorted from its normal state, If anybody knows any way. Or how this problem is being caused? Again you help is aprecciated

Answer:

well

i assume it does not have any pitch control?

move it positive a bit if so..(10%) would give u 33%

if it%26#39;s an old record player on a stereo

possibly it is belt driven

the belts stretch

i find the easiest solution for a new belt is a rubber band

it will be much tighter

though rubber bands tend to dry and crack after a while

they are cheap enough to replace again

if it%26#39;s a motor, i%26#39;m not sure right now

but belt should be under the plate, most just pop up with a lil force but don%26#39;t break it...i could be wrong
